The Team
Operations is where infrastructure meets reality: every stuck transaction, every support ticket, every document that needs validation, every back-office workflow that someone currently handles manually. This is the team that ensures the $80M flows smoothly — and the one that most quickly hits the limits of doing things manually.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a senior backend/fullstack engineer to build the tools that transform operational chaos into a streamlined system. The difference is how you work: AI-first. We're not looking for an AI specialist; we're looking for a well-rounded engineer who already builds with agents by default, because that's the standard for developers today. The premise is clear: the best Operations team of the future isn't larger, it's a small one with agents that resolve issues autonomously.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Build and evolve internal tools for transaction management, support, and back-office operations
- Design and operate automated workflows — including agents that resolve tickets and end-to-end operations where human intervention was previously required
- Build intelligent document extraction systems (KYC, identity, onboarding)
- Automate operational processes that currently hinder growth
- Integrate with Salesforce and existing back-office workflows
- Refactor and harden legacy code with the same care as new code
Requirements (must-have)
- Solid experience as a senior backend or fullstack engineer in Node.js / TypeScript and AWS
- Experience building internal tools, process automation, or operational tooling
- Work AI-first: using AI agents and tools in your development workflow as standard, not as an exception
- Engineering principles for systems handling real money: idempotence, eventual consistency, reconciliation, resilience
- Knowing when to automate with an agent and when not to — and designing guardrails for when the model makes mistakes
Bonus points
- Having deployed agents in production (not demos, not prototypes)
- RAG, tool calling, and evaluation of LLM outputs
- Document parsing, OCR/IDP in production
- Integration with Salesforce and back office
- Experience with regulatory documentation or compliance
- Believing that the best Ops team of the future is a small team with agents, not a large one without them
